About Us
Jasmine’s Creations is a company that was created by my family as an ode to my youngest sister Jasmine Bellinger, who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma cancer at the age of 12. Jasmine Ray Bellinger was born on June 23, 1993 at Anaheim General Hospital in Anaheim, California. At the age of one she was entered into the Hawaiian tropics baby competition and took first place. Growing up with Jasmine. I got a chance to see her creative side from an early age. She would make little figures out of paper and really took well to coloring and drawing. As we got older, this talent really blossom as she would do projects in school that were very artsy and come home with straight A’s. Jasmine’s favorite cereal growing up was Lucky Charms.
In 2007 our family moved to Albany, Oregon during which Jasmine attended Calpooia Middle school. During a regular recess, she begin to have a pain in her left knee. She was taken to Albany General, where they referred OHSU to have a scan. we were given the bad news that she had cancer in her left knee. It was osteosarcoma and it was very rare and aggressive. She began her journey in April 2007. We were connected with Candlelighters, who took care of us and helped us through his journey. The time that I got to spend with my sister while she was going through her chemo was amazing and she was always in the highest spirit she could possibly be. She loved doing art playing video games with her brother Jarrod and spending time with her animals.Jasmine did chemotherapy for a year and a half and doctors at Doernbecher‘s Children’s Hospital were able to remove the mass and replaced part of Jasmine‘s leg with the cadaver bone. She remained cancer free for eight years During her remission, Jasmine graduated from Harrisburg high in 2012.During her remission, Jasmine graduated Lane community college with a nursing degree and straight A’s in her courses. She purchased her own apartment fell in love with her fiancé Tyler Thomas, and built a beautiful life for herself.. Her cancer returned in 2015 and when the cancer came back, it came back very aggressive and Jasmine was asked to do a study at the adult cancerwing at the hospital at OHSU.The study was really hard on her, and it was hard to see her go through these things as she became weaker and more frail. She unfortunately lost her battle with Her cancer On July 29, 2016. This news rocked my family, her friends and the community of Harrisburg. Her loss affected so many that loved her and it was a very sad day.
Jasmine’s CreationsIs her creation and the love that she had for family, friends, and community, so with this company, we will continue to honor her, cherish her and keep her memory alive through The smiles that we can bring to people’s faces.Thank you for the love and support and we only hope to grow with you.
